Workbook?

Post by Kanov »

I was looking at the elements.txt file and it seems it has an extra column regarding PitF.

Care to provide a workbook that is compatible with GtC? I don't know what other inconsistencies there could be in GtC by using the pitf workbook.

Hi Kanov,

I had a quick look and I think it is the last column that is different. The numbers of only 4 elements seem to refer to another element in which it changes due to weather effects. For example:
Grass Field ( 0 ) changes into Light Muddy Field (259) . Dirt Road (35) changes into Muddy Road (37) .

That is the only sim-data file format change in Gateway to Caen -- the final column of elements.txt. So you can use the column headers from the PitF workbook.

And CC Pete is correct - this new column controls element changes that are automatically made to a map when the 'storm' weather condition occurs. Since 'storm' in GtC means rain, things get muddy. It could also be used for snow in a winter campaign.
