Im reinstalling....when I try to update, get message..."error opening ftp file"?[&:][&:]

Try to update the game manually instead.
Download the patch from the link below:

ftp://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/WarInTheE ... -v1084.zip

Once you have downloaded the file please unzip it. Run the extracted file to update the game.
