Windows 8.1 GeForce GTX 965M Doesnt work!

Post by jackyo123 »

hi folks

just upgraded from a Quosmo Winu7 rig to an Asus G751 ROG running win8.1

Issue : After starting, the screen resizes to a SQUARE about 1024x1024 in size (I have tried screen resolutions ranging from 1600x900 down to 1024x768). None of my screen resolutions make a difference.

In the actual game, the mouse does not work (though it does in the menus) unless I cntrl-esc to desktop and back into the game. It works then, but I then have green boxes wherever the mouse goes.

I've tried various switches here such as the -px1024 -py768 and others, but nothing seems to help. have tried changing the compatability mode to both win 7 and winxp. Have also tried changing the game.exe Nvidia parameters and turned off everything fancy. Again no help.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you applied the switches to the quick start shortcut, or the other one? They need to be applied to the quick start shortcut. The box is probably 1024X768 which is the default resolution of the game.
