TF Information screen

Post by frpandore@free.fr »

Hi there,

Two noob questions about TF information.
On the upper left side, below mission type, next to "moves xx/yy" we can see "Fuel xx/yy/(zz)"
What are respectively those xx ; yy and (zz) numbers.

Then, just below, for Air Combat missions, we can see "Carrier Aircraft: aa(bb), MS:cc(dd%)
What means MS: cc(dd%)

Can't find anything in the corresponding sections of the manual.

Thanks for your answers.

The Manual is not up to date but you can read pages 85 and 86.

I dont know where to find it in the manual but as far as I know;
Fuel XX/YY/ ZZ% ;

XX maximum range on current fuel%
YY range to currently set destination (waypoints included) with return trip so usually double of ZZ
ZZ range to currently set destination

MS for air combat TF is the total number of air sorties remaining for that TF as far as I know.

More knowledgeable forum members might know more , hope this helps.
Nick.

LOL as I said other ppl will know more and add informative pics as well.

In MAX Sorties is the number that can be flow with ordinance (not CAP sorties) and the % number is the number of sorties left of that max number. It's designed to allow you to assess, at a glance, if the TF has enough ammo to carry on with the mission or to return to base for a reload (and the distance to base is, as indicated, given as well!).

Yet another question about TF information screen.
On the picture above from trugrit we can see :
Guns: 3169 (100) ; AAA:2650 (100)

While (100) is not a percentage, what is it ?
Still nothing in the manual.

I believe it is in fact a percentage - of ammunition remaining. Despite not having a % attached to it.

OK, I'll chime in. I was gonna say the same thing but I'm so often wrong I backed out. Anyway this is what I thought also.

I guess this is not a percentage as sometimes these numbers are far above 100 which i believe is not possible in this case.
For example, in the Guadalcanal mission, TF141 datas are as follows:

Guns: 7648(167) AAA:3587(136)
Torps: 45(100) ASW: 26(100)

Anyone ?

As far as I know it is a percentage, thing is that in the Gualdalcanal scenario some of your
Taskforces have been beefed up by the developers.
The overview of taskforces in my Campaign game (up right hand corner shows option to switch between
cargo and ammo) has none over a 100.

Effectively,
This is probably a percentage. What else could it be ?
When i scan for the datas, it could be nothing else.

Thank you all again

PS:
I will compile those informations which are not in the manual and create a post later when my investigations are finished.

All the information sought in this thread is already in the manual. It is merely that it is not centralised at a single location. For example:

1. All the figures in brackets against the weapon aggregates IS the percentage of remaining ammo. This is stated on page 72 of the manual.

2. The other figures are covered in s.6.1.3 of the manual which starts on page 84 of the manual.

Yes, there is no specific information given under the TF screen because the exact same material is already covered in the ship screen. The TF screen merely aggregates the data from all the ships in the TF (as per page 86).

Non native English readers may find the layout difficult to follow. Like much else in the manual, even native English readers need to work to find all the relevant information which is not always co-located.
