Armageddon updated to v1.08!

Games Workshop’s “Battle for Armageddon” setting in a series of amazing multiplatform, turn-based, hex-based games. Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon will make full use of Slitherine's expertise in creating compelling and challenging strategy gaming experiences. The initial game is set during the Second War of Armageddon and players will lead the Imperial forces of the Armageddon Steel Legion and Space Marines®from the Ultramarines, Blood Angels and Salamanders Chapters against Ghazghkull Thraka’s massive Ork Waaagh! invasion through over 30 scenarios, on the hostile terrain of the planet and its gigantic Hive Cities.

Armageddon updated to v1.08!

Hi guys,

Warhammer 40,000 Aramgeddon is updated! It includes a number of great improvements including; new German, French and Spanish text, expanded and updated tutorials, and two scenarios added to the main campaign!
You can update from the Game Menu or download the file here.

Here's the full changelog:

V1.08 – June 18, 2015
  • Added localizations of the game and all DLCs to German, French and Spanish. Language can be selected on program startup or switched later via Options.
  • Tutorial campaign of the base game have been overhauled in an attempt to better teach new players the basics of the game.
  • Four new advanced tutorials have been added to the game.
    • Assault Infantry and Cover
    • Support Units
    • Space Marine Units
    • Titans
  • Act 3 of the main campaign has been extended with two additional bonus scenarios.
  • All three degrees of Dead Forest (sparse, normal, and dense) now appear throughout the base Steel Legion campaign instead of all functioning as standard Dead Forests.
  • Tileset in scenario 15 has been changed to Hive Internal set so all terrain now functions properly and also links properly to the sidebar UI display.

I am playing the Angels of Death campaign. I updated to 1.08 today, then loaded my saved game from yesterday that was created using 1.07. I played several turns today in scenario 2 without a problem. But when I end my turn #5 (of 17), the game crashes every time. It appears the problem occurs during the Autosave (Orks) file creation, because if I try to load that file after the crash to recover the moves made during my turn since my last save, I get a "Failed loading saved game" message.

At this point my options are to load my save right on the turn before the rrors occurs or load a much older save, unless you have a suggestion on how to proceed. I have saved the error txt that occurred if you want to see it.
Please advise.

I'm having a similar problem/ After hitting "End Turn", the games stops working on Steam. Here's the full error message:

Having the same issues. Game will crash upon clicking "end turn". I noticed I was able to get past this crash a couple times if I did not fill all the available slots in my army. In the Glory of Macragge campaign, you start with two available slots, that if i didn't fill, would allow the game to proceed. Didn't try long, since I figured it would just crash at a later turn.

Playing on the Blood Angel campaign I was able to finish my last few turns in one of the missions. Upon starting the next mission, I suddenly got a bunch more open slots, more then the usual couple. Think I had 4 new ones. When I filled these it crashed again. Not sure if the open slots are causing problems, but figured it was worth mentioning.

Started a new game (Angel's of Death campaign) after updating to 1.08. Again I play several turns, then the game crashes after I click end turn on turn #5. Pretty frustrated now, not spending any more time playing until a fix is suggested.

FYI, it is possible that both occurences of the crashes I described above were ending the turn for the first time after loading a previous save I had taken. Curious if that is the case with others.

The problem could be a Steam thing. I re-installed my original Slitherine downloads for the basic game and all add-ons and only get the crash with the Macrogg campaign.

I am a non-Steam user, so Steam is not the issue in my case. To me it appears to be an issue with the ending the very first turn after loading a previous save (even a new game started / saved using 1.08)

Hi guys,

sorry to anyone having crashes. We think we have fixed them and you can find a fix here. This file is synching to our servers so it may be available in the US, but will take a little while to be available elsewhere - up to 30 mins.

You need to copy the extracted file (ArmageddonGame.exe) to your game main installation folder.

I applied the hotfix, then loaded my saved game from the pre-hotfix environment (was hoping not to loose everything).
I got a different error when ending my turn, are all my pre-hotfix saves no good and do I now have to start a new campaign?

The saves made with the bad version will not work unfortunately. If you have any saves before 1.08 these will work.
