Wanted to chime in and say I've started using this mod and it's brilliant - so thanks for taking the time to build and develop it. [8D]

Hi, I am a new player of Distant Worlds Universe, I have a problem with this mod

I follow the steps of a video of youtube of user Das24680 "How To Install Mods In Distant Worlds". When I change theme, the mod don't apply. My version of the game in Steam is 1.9.5.12, is compatible with this version or I follow wrong steps to install mod /change theme? When I choose the theme don't appear images or text, only the title of the mod, (in the video appear text and the picture of redhead women)

help please ! [:(]

You have probably done something wrong when installing it.

The DW folder has a sub folder called Customization. Inside you should put the folder of the mod, with the mod name. See the image for an example (although this exact mod is not there).

Inside the folder there should be quite a few files and folder like:

raceBiases.txt
research.txt
And the folders characters, designTemplates, images...

So the Distant Worlds Extended folder with its contents places under Customization.

If you have dumped the contents in the main DW folder, I suggest you tell Steam to fix the folder content.

The error was in the customization folder, I put the folder correctly into customization folder and works !

Have you planed to balance the weapons? Beams are useless and fighters a overpowered.

I hazard a guess that the answer is "no". The spirit of this mod is "the base game, but more races". There are other mods that mess with the research tree (apart from making some racial tech for new races) and adjust balance.

Have DW Universe with latest patch. Put latest DW Extended mod into Customization folder as directed but it doesn't show up in Themes. DL'ed it twice but same result. What am I doing wrong?

You probably put it in the wrong spot.

Overaverage breeders, good spacers, smart, averagely loyal, suspicious...

Love aking that one at every space 4X game and play them exclusively ^.^. Think furry fans playing DWU would love it.

I did actualy ^.^. Tailwind Alliance, Chanurr species using fragment of that pic i posted and stylised panther head image for flag. Technocrasy as special tweak. Otherwise based on vanilla humans (i mostly like them). Still making tiny tweaks from time to time (don't wanna ruin the ballance).

Mainly i asked for other people benefit.

Sorry if these are a couple of FAQs, but I'm a but lazy and asking it directly is a bit quicker than reading a 25 pages thread [:)]

I'm interested in trying this mod along with "AI Improvement Mod (1.05 Extended Release)" (tm.asp?m=3647528)

The AI Improvement Mod, as the name already says, has an "Extended Release" which incorporates the two. My questions are:

- Is version 1.05 of the AIIM up to date with the most current version of DWE?
- I do seem to understand that the AIIM: ER incorporates the "Raw" version of DWE. If I want to use the "Das Chrome UI" version of DWE, is there a way to combine the AIIM with it?

I have the Steam version of DWU, upgraded to the last patch. And I'm a DW modding newbie (even if I daily survive modding for Paradox's games...) [:D]
