Random maps for scenarios?

Post by gcbisset »

Im trying without success to load random scenarios into the editor (to put in certain unit types). I want to play with my OOB on a scenario with a random map.

Is there any way of doing this?

Thanks,

George

1) be sure it is a scenario file and not a save game file
2) if you create a random scenario, simply press the edit button to open in the editor.

I think he is thinking of making a permanent change to a random game generating file.

While I am sure this can be done, I do not know exactly how. I think you may want to consult with someone who has made a scenario file for random game generation. That would be Vic, Lancer or maybe bombur.

It´s easy to do, but you need the scenario file, not a save game. Once you generate it, you can edit it.
However, to make some changes you must disable the master file.

Hmmmm....are you thinking about introducing historical TOE´s in a random scenario not created with this feature?

Thanks, Guys!

Yes, the first ones I tried were saved games, but now I know to "Make" the random scenario, then Edit it and save in the editor.

But yes, Bombur, I would then like to be able to enter a historical OOB with the same units to start each time (For a campaign). Is there info on how to do this somewhere?
