Allied air losses: 1 [total 221], Japan air losses: 2 [total 179]
Allied pilots losses: 0 MIA, 0 WIA, 0 KIA [total 3 MIA, 48 WIA, 28 KIA]

Allied ships losses: 5 HDML
Japan ships losses: CA (not confirmed), DMS

Bases capture:

Reinforcements:

Forts:

Calcutta expands fortifications to size 3
Perth expands fortifications to size 2
Sining expands fortifications to size 2

Thrilling moments during watching combat animation this turn.
SS O19 launches 6 torpedoes at Zuikaku and all missed target :(
SS KXII had more luck and one torpedo has found target. DMS W-12 sunk at Mersing.
He is keeping almost whole combined fleet, including KB fourth turn in row at Mersing. I have twelve Dutch subs coming in and out hex each turn. No lack, just two subs needed turn back for repair.

My opponent is still continuing raids from Bangkok AF. This time he attacked Port Blair.
Now plan is to withdraw my fighters form Singapore to Burma as soon as I will have them fixed. It seems to me that I have achieved all I could at this base with air power. The base soon will be under his land attack soon anyway.
I am very happy with they performance there. Now I have in my hand over 100 veterans US, 40 British, Australian and New Zealand fighter pilots. I have lost 66 Buffalo I, 30 H81-A3, 12 P-40 and 4 P-39.
So, most of lost planes are obsolete anyway. In this time my fighter's squadrons downed 52 Zeros, 25 Kates, 22 Vals and 11 Oscars out there. I know he can build and replace those air frames in January/Febuary. But his fighter's units on KB are crippled for December :).
And personally I prefer when he is using his HI to produce A6M2 or D3A than he will use HI to produce K-84 and N1K1-J in future.

Never know when you are opening a can of worms with what seems like a simple request. Sorry for the hijacking of your AAR.

I like what you have done at Singapore. Many are scratching their heads over it.

I typically try to save the H81A3s for the Chinese pool, but if that is not one's preference than using them to attrite the Japanese and give them an early bloody nose is a wonderful choice.

Very smart that you are not pushing your luck by seeing success and going for more than is possible.

Good to get them out while you still can now that they have accomplished their purpose.

Tough luck on the die rolls on the Dutch sub encounter with a CV TF.

And here it is: Plan of China defence. We are playing without SL, so main advances will go by roads, so best units are going to be sitting in cities and on roads.

Well it was very boring week on pacific.

Castor got some luck and took Victoria Point with paratroopers in exactly the night when I landed there 4 US squadrons. Ouch, it cost me 60 a/c, 9 pilots KIA, 8 WIA, and 7 MIA [:@] I need force my brain to work harder and try to avoid such unnecessary risks in future.

He landed on Rabaul, when I have reacted with Lexi very next day there was no Japanese ships around. It look that he is using "one day load" and full speed to avoid my counteractions. And with Allied Patrol boats constantly failing to notice his approaches it is very difficult to counter his landings.

KB is gone over week, now I have reports about huge radio traffic in Truk. It is possible he moved KB there and now he is starting next big operation.

Singapore is still unmolested, except single high altitude bombing without AF damage last turn.
The same situation is in Clark and over whole Philippines.

Japan ships losses: SS

Bases capture:

Reinforcements:
100th Indian Brigade arrives at Colombo
1st/102nd Infantry Battalion arrives at Eastern USA

DD Jupiter sighted and probably sunk I-166 near Soerabaja. This destroyer was hunting this sub last 4 days and finally success. It is very nice to see good performance of Allied ship at this stage of game.

SS Pike moved to Cam Ranh Bay looking for target. Well it seems to me that it wasn't good idea and now damaged Pike is heading back to base.

42 Zeros swept Singapore fallowed by 58 Sallys with 27 Oscars as escort.
They did not hit hard base, and right now it does not mater. I have there 2 AUS brigades and one Indian division. This all I can do to prepare this base. So, 1000AV behind forts and 85K supplies must hold him for some time. But I am dreaming to hold until February [:)]

Yes, yes, KB reviled itself on Sulu Sea and sunk 3 Dutch HDML near Tarakan.
So, "Lexi" is safe and can continue guarding New Guinea. Soon it will be joined by "Sara" and "Big E" and than we can start looking for strike opportunity outside of Coral Sea.

MrKane,
you need to rethink your China strategy. Due to your houserules Castor has 2 Months to move various things around.

He will probably create 3 huge attack forces - one force to cut your supply lines from Russia, one force to clear Changsha and one large force to clear the troops from the RR (Castor is very good in tactcal land combat - at least he was in WitP).

I think you have 2 China Options:
spread out and move around to cut all lines of communication
or
retreat and fortify

Thanks for you comment. This is what I suspect. One of his stack is forming at Kaifenf, 39 units right now.
However I am planning to have line of defence it does not mean that I will spread out my units. Most of them will guard main roads and cities.

Nothing can be done at this point. I cannot build strongholds and cover all bases at once. I am preferring to build strongholds and delay his main advances than worry about empty bases I cannot hold anyway.

Quite boring turn. However I am waiting for next. Day of delay on Castor side it can mean that he is busy in work or allied navy raid on Java Sea did not hit empty ocean during this turn :D

Well, after landing at Tarakan, Japanese invasion fleet with KB sailed towards Balikapan. According to my intel, he should be there at Jan 5th. I have decided to play my best card and all allied warships were send to intercept KB. I am hoping that 3 cruisers SAGs will engage his forward guard (4xCA+DDs) this will open window for POW and Repulse SAGs to engage KB. All SAGs courses are set to make intercept at daylight [:D]

Well, Yes I can loose BB + BC and and couple cruisers and destroyers. But Jocke look at bright side, in case of success I can cripple KB for months or even sunk carrier or two.
Btw. I forgot mention about, 20 subs are there either, mostly the Dutch ones.
