Icemania and others

Ice, since you seem most active in the challenge and AI enhancement stuff, I thought I had a cool idea and for anyone else interested.

Us playing the same game.

Heres how it works, I or you start a game with agreed on settings, and play for an agreed amount of years in game, then once that time is up, you pass the save file to me and I continue to play for the same amount of years you played for, then I give it back. And we report to each other stuff we did/focused on during our years etc?

Sound cool or lame?

I'm not really keen on swapping games but what would be great is to see some people spent some time in game editor making some scenarios and publishing the save game for others to try out. There can be both a competitive element for score but also just a focus on strategy for those that aren't interested in the competitive side. Of course the author would need to put a password on so nobody can cheat! We did of couple of these sorts of games before Universe released like the below and then had a separate thread for Spoilers.

Extreme Game of the Month
NB: Note the link above was not for Universe.

CivFanatics does a similar sort of thing. They give specific settings for the "game of the month"(or week, I forget) and then people post to show what they did and compare scores and stuff.
