I do whatever it takes to ensure that Pappy Boyington is my leading Ace.

He is the first AVG pilot top be sent back to a frontline squadron (always where the action is thickest) after going to TRACOM when the AVG withdraws.

He always gets the best plane available.

I have been known to relegate close competitors to reserve to cool their heels while he runs up his count.

And most importantly I have been known to scrap a game if he gets KIA.

You do know that Boyington is no longer the Marines leading ace, right?

Why should that matter.

Did the leading Ace cobble together his own squadron from scratch?

Did the leading ace get his own TV show?

Pappy has charisma!

Don't forget Chesty commanding a USMC regiment! He didn't need a TV show... [:)]

I truly do wish the game could track the exploits of ground commanders and ship's captains as it does pilots.

I really want to know who my top sub skipper is the way I know who my top ace is.

Then there's the likes of Colonel Dave Shoup, Red Mike Edson, and Evans Carlson.....who wouldn't want to follow their exploits along with Chesty Puller?

My idiosyncrasy....drink red wine, read forum, and try not to piss anyone off even when they are rude, arrogant and wrong....a Cdn thing. sorry.

One of my wife's and my favorite folk humor bands is "The Arrogant Worms". They do a great bit on "Forgive us, we're Canadian" that you'd probably enjoy:

We always say we're sorry we like to stand in line
when you ask us how we're doing, we always say just fine!

Forgive us we're canadian, we try hard to be nice
you too can be canadian if you follow this advice

we disagree on everything but we try to be polite
and we don't beleive in violence, except on hockey night
weve adopted Europen ways, replacing yards with meters
but we still must ask the question, how many miles in a litre?

Forgive us we're canadian, we try hard to be nice
you too can be canadian if you follow this advice

We could talk for hours on end about the constitution
Which is dry as toast but sure as heck beats war or reveloution
we don't much like to wave the flag we find patriotism shocking
so we celebrate on canada day by going cross border shopping

Forgive us we're canadian, we try hard to be nice
you too can be canadian if you follow this advice

We know how to dress for winter, we're not afraid of snow
and we love our country quietly, and hope quebec wont go

Forgive us we're canadian, and some might think us bland
But there's no where that we'd rather live....
That this vast and frozen land!

We sent Justin Bieber and Ted Cruz south in the hope that one will be the next president....maybe Justin should be Ted's running mate!! That should bring our dollar back to par!!

All right, that's it!!!! If that happens I'm immigrating to Canada, and I'm not too sure you guys would want that.[:D]
