Cloud server

Post by ronweasley »

Does anyone use a cloud server for online multiplayer? I've been thinking of using one for a Minecraft server...but not sure to go with a cloud or dedicated server.

the difference is cost in most cases, while i've not used either myself, both do the same job, one is physical while the other isn't, speed depends on the connection you have also so dependant on your budget, for me trial a cloud approach first and if you pick a good company they will do both anyway so can alter at a later date, but i'd contact a provider first for prices and info as they will be able to help y more than a forum reply here would for a guess, good luck

I use a low cost server from 1&1 to run a multiplayer. I'm pretty happy with the service so far, and can't complain about the price. They host my blog, so that's why I ended up using them. Looking into cloud servers too.
