Just started a few months ago. Played PacWar like mad many years ago. Played a board game called East Wind Rain (both sides) 20 years ago as I could not find anyone else geeky enough too. The AI is a big improvement compared to solo board play...

This game is great, but learning curve is steep. It makes for an interesting journey.

I played UV for 8 years against the AI then figured out how to play by email. Missed witp and went strait to AE. Played 2 as IJ and 4 as allied. Only one game currently into 45..started it in 2010.

Started way back in the day with Grigsby's "War in the South Pacific".

Then PacWar, UV, WiTP and now WiTPAE.
Started doing PBEM in WiTP and have one ongoing in AE. I usually check the forum a couple of times a day, but only sign in when I post.

Played Pacwar back in the day. Missed out on UV but have been playing since I discovered WitP. When AE came out I was extremely impressed by how much they improved the game. There's nothing like it.

Still playing, though currently AI only as my existence got entertaining for a while might look to get back in a live opponent here soon. Been around since UV.

Played Pacific War against the AI for years and then found WITP and then this forum and then what I'd been wanting for years.... A long term game against the real deal. One GC down against Tocaf and now we have moved onto game two AE style. Next game I will be looking to experience the awesome power of the other side.
Kido Butai, although powerful, was a raiding force, and this is exactly how the Japanese understood its usage. 'Shattered Sword'

Occasionally the rest of my life intrudes on my Witpae reality.

Played a couple of short PBEMs to learn, dabbled against the AI and have two full campaign PBEM games going, both as allies.
