It would be great to have you join. GD1938 is a WW2 simulation, as you probably know. China is often the first nation a player new to the scenario plays. It is not an easy play, but may be the easiest.

Be sure and read the many AARs to get an idea of gameplay.

Welcome!

There is no level entry a willingness to play and take some knocks before you start to hand some knocks of your own. I would not necessarily recommend China a good Japanese player will give you a very rough time, and the Chinese are fairly bland all of their equipment is either generic or belonging to other nations like the I16 (Soviet) no one has yet written a book on famous Chinese Second World military equipment. Any nation will do to start just look for allies doesn't hurt to have some friends.

What level of player is required? Can a beginner play? I don't have a chance of winning, but I would enjoy the game.

I am still a relative newbie also. The GD 38 mod is awesome, infuriating, instructional, diplomatic, crazy, awesome...and especially FUN! Welcome to the jungle! [:'(]

Can I play the GD 38 mod against the AI as a learning tool or do you think it really need humans for it to be worth playing?

You can try solo as the Axis to get a feel for the relative national strengths.

Playing as the Allies flounders on diplomatic aspects.

Can someone beside me get this organized...I have trouble with my eyes so I don't visit this website as often as I should to organize it. Since my time on the computer is limited I'd like to limit it to games only instead of posting and reading posts and organizing things.

BTW I like to play the Japanese. Although I think none of their victory conditions are possible to achieve.

With Baloo7777 Twotribes and Ironduke not yet committed. Additional players can of course join, Tinjaw is welcome previous experience with GD1938 is not necessary, best way to learn is to jump in.

How does this look, I will assist Tinjaw in regard to the British and French and their possible supply issues and any other minor problems that plaque those nations in the early stages of the war.

Germany Twotribes
Italy Baloo7777
Japan Larry
USSR Ironduke
France/UK Tinjaw
China/USA Chuck

If everyone concurs then we are good to go.

So should I do the first turn? I need to know what to turn on right? I vote for unit sharing and no recon for allies.

Italy is in the dropbox, I do not have email addresses so Ironduke could you ensure everyone gets an invite? Unit sharing is on recon is off and I turned on research too.

I see SovietsGD1938game21T1.at2 and FranceGD1938game21T1.at2. Am I correct in believing that the Soviets should be moved to Old Turns and I should take my turn as the French?
