How do you generate a specific character for an event?

Post by whotookmyusername112 »

In the modding guide it says under the Character Appearance Section

"A value of “-” means that the character is only generated by a game
event – this character will never appear randomly during the game."

How do I generate a character by an event?. Under gmae editor I can generate a random character but not a specific one.

How do I generate a character by an event?. Under gmae editor I can generate a random character but not a specific one.

You must create a game event via the editor which, once triggered, creates a specified character at
the event location. The right type of event will allow you to access a list of characters you've
designated in a race file with the "-" as the appearance value.

As an example, when a specific ruin on a planet is discovered and investigated, it generates a
character (one who has a "-" as the appearance value) from the investigating race (or other if
so chosen) character file and that character appears in the races' roster. In addition, certain
events allow the character to be generated at a specific planet also. Hope this helps!
