Ground Support for Different AG's Corps?

Post by rainman2015 »

If you split out a corps (or just divisions) of say, AGC, and send it to AGN or AGS, and haven't yet changed the corps to be under the command of the new AG that it is supporting, will the Luftwaffe of the AG where the corps is now operating provide ground support and interception, etc for the corps? For example, if you send a Panzer Corps (or just several panzer divisions) of Panzer Group 2 south to help out with AGS, and don't spend the APs to switch the corps over to now be under AGS's command, will the Luftwaffe of AGS provide ground support and interception support for the divisions of Panzer Group 2 (i.e. of AGC)?

Thanks

Believe air support depends only about location of ABs, enemy forces, and air units available. Most important is Air Doctrine settings. Make sure your settings support useful interception and ground support. Would be a mistake to require too large a requirement for LW/Axis activity.

They should provide support. For Axis air forces it is only important to have units of given nationality in battle if you want their air units to support them (Germans can be supported by all nationalities). Soviets require units and air groups assigned to the same front.
