Germany pounds the living daylights out of Antwerp but the stubborn British & French cling on. Big battles in the English channel with both sides taking quite heavy losses.

I suggest we condsider moving France to another player. JLD89 seems to be MIA.

Guys, I just now applied the 220h hotfix and after doing that I checked functionality and when doing that I grabbed the wrong turn. So after the next round you are probably going to see all sorts of warnings, please ignore them. I should have done the hotfix when it came out but no....

Hey guys I don't think I will be able to do my turn until saturday. If you want to play faster you can find another player. I am too busy lately and I couldn't know in advance. I'm really sorry.

UK counterattacks the Germans who took Antwerp, but are repulsed with heavy losses.

A newbie question... how do I transport/move air units from Canada to the United Kingdom. They can't ride on troop transports, and it's too far to fly in one turn? [&:]

The only way is to put them in a headquarters with cargoships and transfer that way.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

If its fighters or short range bombers then as Twotribes says send them to the Pentagon HQ which has Merchant ships, then ship then to any port in the world where you have a HQ you can place or create a HQ in Allied territory then ship to that HQ. Long Range bombers B17 and others have the range to fly from the East Coast of America to the Azores, then on to other destinations.

I noticed playing the USA that there were groups of Merchant vessels not in HQ's what I did was just add them to the HQ at the location to boost transport.

Also if you ship across the Atlantic Pacific or just about anywhere you can suffer air and naval interdiction causing often huge casualties to the units or supply you are shipping,
the only way to avoid this is to place the tanks infantry or supply on troop transports and ship them that way they suffer no interdiction on troop transports, you can combine transporting units first by merchant vessels from say the pentagon HQ, then complete the interdicted part of the journey by troop transport. Just don't leave the troop transports at sea, same applies to short range aircraft ship them to a un interdicted port then fly them to the combat zone. Or you can just take the casualties but don't forget you also lose merchant vessels with the units that you are transporting.

Weird, he was the game starter in this game, and game 15 is also stalled on his turn. Has anyone heard from him?

He had an outage a week or so ago which he announced, but nothing about this one.

The situation is that Jose has limited time to play his turns, not a problem in my books just makes this game very slow. The obvious solution is to allow this one to run at a slow pace and start GD1938 game 21.

I am fine with that. I had my computer go down in the middle of a game and it is a bummer when you can't play, for whatever reason. I signed up for Game 21.

The USA continues to patrol and observe.

China enjoys the fruits of peace. While we are not equipped for warfare we have raised troops sufficient to defend our lands. Any attempt to attack us would lead our foe into a long, costly slog. We do not want this and trust it will not occur. If Japan and China find themselves at war because of alliance entanglements we will quickly accept a peace offer, and will seek peace ourselves. China enjoys good relations with the British, but we cannot go to war with Japan. We do not mean this as any encouragement of war in the Far East. China is getting stronger and she will resist aggression when she is able. China is cultivating a close relationship with the United States, which nation is also supportive of peace in the Far East. China and the USA will not forget any aggression in the peaceful Orient.

The British have gathered enough intelligence to know that their will be an attack on Commonwealth interests in the Far East by the Imperial Japanese armed forces. The buildup to this attack is pretty well completed, and it is expected soon. While the Royal Navy is strong, no single nation can fight a two front war without aid from Allies. In fact, as the the UK and the French are well aware, fighting against a single militarily powerful nation can be a nightmare.

The United States and China are concerned at talk of war in the Far East. The Pacific Rim should be a peaceful area of commerce.

There is no need to spread a conflict here.
