Promotions

I know that pilots and group leaders can get promoted. What about ship captains?

In particular, I want to know about Richard O'Kane - he enters the game as a LCDR. I'd love for him to become a CDR for task force leaer purposes, and am unsure if promotions are modeled in the game (or even if he was promoted to Commander before Tang's final patrol...I wasn't able to find dates of his promotions).

I had thought that Frederick Sherman started the game as a CPT and later became a RADM, but I just loaded up a Dec 7 game and he begins as RADM. So I think my hopes won't be realized, but just curious if anybody knows for sure. The only thread I found was from 2008, well before initial release.

I had a top ace promoted all the way to brigadier. Kind of fun to see.
