No Operations Report

Post by tocaff »

Lately I'm suffering from an on and off problem with not getting the ops reports. I run the 001 file and then the game save file is opened. Sometime I'm able to get the ops report and other times it's a blank. I'm running V 1.7.11.23x10.

Help!
Todd

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

Someone just asked this! Check the setting to see if you have reports turned on.

It's set for combat rpts on, but this problem is with the ops rpts. Sometimes yes and sometimes no.

Since it appears your playing a PBEM, Maybe some kind of sync issue. Does your opponent the same have issue? Try resending and replaying the current turn....GP

We're using the same version of the game and tried resending the turn, but no good. This doesn't, thankfully, happen in my other PBEM.

After you run a combat save (001), is the operation report (aoperationsreport.txt) in the directory?
The Allied Ops report is not saved in the allied turn, but needs to be created by running the combat save.
If you have a specific example, zip up the combat save and allied turn and attach here. I'll try to run it and see why it might not be getting created.

Bingo. I should of though of that. In a test game i'm involved in I got lazy and didn't run the Combat replay and had no Opps report because of that. Thank you again Michael. You the man.[8D]....GP

EDIT; I just reread your first post tocaff. Are you moving both the 001 and your orders save into the save file at the same time? If they go in at different times, say you move the orders save into the save folder after the combat replay has been run, the opps report will also not show up. They must be in the save folder at the same time....GP

The game save and the 001 go into the folder at the same time. I then run the 001 file after which I go to the turn save file.
