Mass Orders

Post by Anthropoid »

Is there a way using a config file or something of that sort which would allow me to:

1. Set all level bombers to 100 Train Ground attack at 11,000 alt, and zero range
2. Set all naval bombers to 100 Train naval attack at 6,0000 alt, zero range
3. Set all FP and PA to 100 Train ASW, 6000, zero
4. Set all RC to 100 train nav search, 6000, zero
5. Set all fighters to 100 train escort, max alt, zero range
6. Set all naval fighters to 100 train escort, max alt, zero range

Moving front line units around and setting them to what I want them to me is best done in the map, but I would prefer if basically ALL my air assets had the above training regimens as their defaults.

I'm trying to keep an against AI game going for the 'waiting for turns' periods in my PBEM, and I'm finding the click fest to get all of my rear area planes set to train to be quite off-putting.
The x-ray is her siren song. My ship cannot resist her long. Nearer to my deadly goal. Until the black hole. Gains control...

No. But it's built into the game's basic orders structure. Use the 'a' hotkey to call up all land based air units (not just those at a single base). Choose one representative unit from each category, give it the orders, then use the appropriate 'all' button in the lower middle part of the screen. I think that will work.

The 'n' hotkey is for all air groups on board ships (of any kind).

Hmmmm, will try that thanks witpqs.

ADDIT: nope, not seeing any "all" command except (a) all class at this base and (b) all model at this base.

Not seeing anything like an "all in list" button.

Then sort by base but still use that screen so you don't have to jump around the map much. Or just issue a memo. That could work!

So basically, my choices are to: click about 6 times for at least one unit of a class in each base, then click once more to change any other units of the same class within the base.

Using the all planes list and doing that is what I've done up till now, but I was hoping there was a more efficient method available.
