Port damage and rearm level

Post by Yaab »

The base is question is Singapore. It has port level 9 and 46 active Naval support. Its rearm level is thus 6500 (port level 9) + 460 (46 Naval Support) = 6960.

The port gets blasted by Japanese bombers on December 7,1941, and the port shows 40 damage.

So I go to the port info screen and, voila, it says the rearm level dropped to 530. This means that the port capacity dropped to something like port level 4 (port rearm level 110 + 42 Naval Support). Now, since we have this info about the port's reduced rearm level, cannot the info be updated to show the level of the port itself, since damage also affect loading/unloading rates?

For example, a line with a following message:

Port Temp Capacity: 4

I sometimes lose the capacity to replenish depth charges or torpedoes at a damaged port, and wonder what stops ships from reloading their weapons.

1.  You have the wrong figures for naval support squads.

2.  The info about the port is already there.

3.  There is a shortage of screen real estate to play with.
