So looking at that again, I guess what these lean 'coin' design bases share in common is the narrow, wide dark side to them. For instance DAK, Late War US, Wehrmacht camo, Wehrmacht Winter Alternative. Love that. So maybe like the Early War US you could extend the yellow circle closer to edges, to make them look thinner as well?

Hey, you asked for comments [:D]

What is important is you enjoy creating them and follow your own vision to them. Keep up the great work!

Weekend is coming and with a new month... something new??? [;)]

For example the total of scens/list of scens and what war cover, compared with DG i think we are going to have more scens no???

EDIT: interested in the "special" scenarios, i am curious about if you explore the idea of USA and URSS supporting their "little friends" [:D]

Of course, this will be the core set of scenarios.

Scenarios will also be included in the UPDATES as they come available.

Not to mention at least 36 more scenarios in the three LCGs.

All told, about 100 scenarios of one form or another.

I have a favorite, the darker bases. The emblems on the bases seem just about right(size-wise).

Nice. Will these be adapted for use with the update?

Very cool work Gary, I too like the Dark Blue ones!!

Thanks guys!

Gotta tell ya fellas, I was all for the dark blue also but you do not want to look at a map full of those! I loaded the above scenario with everyone dark blue and it was just way too colorful. That's why I toned down the unselected units.

I've been revisiting some earlier unit bases particularly the SS. Been cleaning them up even more and adding some subtlety to the coloring. You'll be seeing them.

Is there an in-between color of dark blue you can use that would be somewhere in the middle of the two examples you gave?

Thanks for the info, i am curious about the 1982 scens, if they have Merkava MKI and T-72 maybe i can try rework a 1973 scen using them (i need understand the scen code, the idea is change only the unit composition... but is hard with no labels or any clue about what refer the code).

EDIT: i see the T-72 icon and an... AMX30???

What I tend to do is give selected units a darker color and larger insignia while unselected are a lightened tone with a 30% reduction to insignia. Playing with contrast and brightness in a Photoshop is a nice way to achieve this effect. So far though even this approach has had exceptions for me. I load the units up in a scenario and then make a call based on the map appearance. I have found that quite often making all the units the darker color creates a much too "busy" map to look at. Of course with a little copy and paste using even MS Paint you could modify any file to make all units dark.

Something else to keep in mind is that any original Divided Ground scenarios, or add on's, will NOT be compatible with Middle East.

Middle East is a brand new venture from the ground up.

I have to say, after I saw your examples I've got to have your base. I mean (no disrespect to the previous work done by the original graphics) but these are a great improvement. I can't see myself using the old british bases or American bases. I really never liked them that much. And seeing examples of what they could be, wow!

And the same area with the Graphical option on, albeit in the editor, not the same in-battle shot Berto has shown! Just wanted to show the new 2d picture mode too!!
