Just installed latest update. Game still reports current version as last beta.

Check your shortcut command line. If Beta2 is in the string the game is running from the
The Beta2 folder.

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -fd -cpu2 -multiaudio -px1680 -py1050 -altFont -deepColor -skipVideo -dd_sw –archive

Take the Beta2 out of your command line or create a new shortcut that points to the game exe.
In the main folder.

As Marshal Cogburn said; check the shortcuts on your desktop. I got multiple installs for the vanilla, beta and the DaBabes.
