276 new unique character images for the human race(over 550 new character profile).
the images are made from the eve online game.

CHANGELOG:

_275 new unique character images for the human race(over 550 new character profile)
_new panelframe
_new style images of pirates


for example

COMPATIBILITY:


the changes are primarily graphics. so they are theoretically compatible with all other mod.

INSTALLATION:

Backup original folders.
Vanilla :Extract archive and overwrite original files in Distant Worlds\characters and images
or, if you use a mod : "Slitherine Ltd\Distant Worlds\Customization\mod\characters and images

USE:

you must restart a new game for all changes to be taken into effect.

(for does not change the difficulty of the game , I have chosen to remain faithful to the original game
the roles are predetermined.
the characters appear in random order according to their role. Skills are random and appropriate for the role.
The features are random and appropriate for the role.)

installation :

Backup original "Distant Worlds Universe\images\environment\landscapes" folder
vanilla version : Extract archive and overwrite original files "landscapes" and place the file "other" in the folder
" Slitherine Ltd\Distant Worlds Universe\images\environment\landscapes"
or, if you use a mod : "Slitherine Ltd\Distant Worlds Universe\Customization\mod\images\environment\landscapes"

By default, the game does use some lands-capes pictures randomly generated.

BarrenRock: 4
Continental: 4
Forest: 1
FrozenGasGiant: 2
GasGiant: 6
IceGlacial: 3
MarshySwamp: 3
Ocean: 2

Use :

These custom land-scape images are not assigned to planets,moons or asteroids
when generating a new galaxy. But they can be manually assigned using the Game Editor, thus
allowing you to customize planets in a custom galaxy map

in your game , 1-open the game editor,2-double-click on the planet to open the editor of the planets
3-select a new image land-capes(they are classified by type) ,4-close the menu,5-quit the editor.
the new image is now activated in the game, and definitely has the next automatic backup.
(see descriptive images in the mod ).

40 ships or bases + flag Hiigarans

I change from previous models Hiigarans (homeworld 2)and add 14 ships or bases + flag

thank you to Relic Entertainment, Gotcha! , Kalthaniell for their textures.

installation :

Backup original files
vanilla : replace the files "images" in the folder " Slitherine Ltd\Distant Worlds Universe"
or, if you use a mod : "Slitherine Ltd\Distant Worlds Universe\Customization\mod"
(If you already use a mod with the family of ships hiigaran,find this family file and replace )


Vanilla : put the folder "family000" in the folder " Slitherine Ltd\Distant Worlds Universe\images\units\ships"
or, if you use a mod : "Slitherine Ltd\Distant Worlds Universe\Customization\mod\images\units\ships"

then , rename this folder by the new last serial number

"If you add completely new ship image families then ensure that the sequence of
folder names retains a continuous series of numbers. For example if you add
a new ship image family folder named “family26”, you must also have folders
named “family25”, “family24”, “family23”, etc ."

Use :

in your game ,open the manufacturing menu, select edit or add new or copy again ,
select a new ship model image from the dropdown menu and fill in the conditions of use ,
Click save and Click save this model for use in a later part.(see descriptive images in the mod )

Currently, I am working on new characters to humans from the eve online editor.
200 already to go until 300. they will be done before the end of the week.

yes they are compatible with Icemania's AI Improvement mod.
my changes are just graphical.

Extract archive and overwrite the original files in the folder
"Slitherine Ltd \ Distant Worlds Universe \ Customization \ Extended AI Improvement Mod 1.04 or AI Improvement Mod 1.04

for "Extended AI Improvement Mod 1.04" , if you use my modifications to hiigaran

replace the files "images" in the folder " Slitherine Ltd\Distant Worlds Universe\Customization\Extended AI Improvement Mod 1.04"

my hiigaran ships are assigned to the human race "family6." but for the "Distant Worlds Extended Universe mod" the hiigaran ships are assigned to the riktoh race "family28."

choose ,place the contents of my "family6" folder in this folder "family28" and overwrite or leave the "family6" folder to play with human race .

put the folder "family000" in the folder " Slitherine Ltd\Distant Worlds Universe\Customization\Extended AI Improvement Mod 1.04\images\units\ships"

then , rename this folder by the new last serial number "family45"

Question: you haven't added these as extra normal world pics and character pics so that they'll be unique for a scenario? Any reason technically not to just mod them in so that they're part of the rotation?

the landscapes and Characters are generated separately, as in the original game to better adapt to every type of planet and allow to customize . the only technical limitations are related to the manual generation of additional landscapes

Hi

Looks excellent! But.....I can't download these for some reason. I click link and go to the download site; it allows for a download to my computer. Punched the button, download thingy runs in a circle, and then says Done. However, I can't find the file anywhere on my PC. I am sure it's operator error so could the operator (me) get some help or suggestions?

astradeus - I hope you don't mind, but I made a Hiigaran race for the Extended mod. Looks great!

You can find the same ship set in Retreat1970's Unleased Extended II mod. Images>Units>Ships>Family28
I once heard there was a garage, which some said was air tight.
