How do you package random game files?

Post by GaryChildress »

I'm nearing completion of my subformation graphics. Basically all I have left to do are aircraft and a few other odds and ends.

Soon what I'd like to do is create an installer package so that I can upload it and others can enjoy the graphics. I'd like to make my graphics an expansion to the "Nato Counters/Officers" mod (which is what I always play now). Are there any tutorials out there on how to package a mod for AT Gold so that they can be installed from the game menu and be available for random games like the "Nato Counters/Officers" mod?

Thanks.

I really like your graphics Gary and would love to use them.
I know some people have their own snazzy graphics sets.
Unfortunately I do not know how to work the program well
enough to be of any help.

Hi Dan,

It's a learning curve for me as well. Hopefully I'll be able to get these zipped up into some sort of file that can be installed from the game menu like some of the other mods and scenarios out there. Then others who are interested in my graphics can enjoy them as well. [:)]

Hi Gary,

Its quite simple.
The directory structure of the zip should mirror the directory structure inside the ATG directory (where the AdvancedTacticsGold.exe resides).
Take a look at how other modders on the scenariobank organised their zip's.

So the zip should contain for example
graphics/garryGfx
graphics/garryGfxBIG
graphics/garryGfxSMALL

best wishes,
Vic
