Roger that !

Map is done. Once I get the .pdf from XLVIIIPzK I'll get cracking. I'll post over at TOAW so that I can get your expert input [I've limited knowledge of 1600's combat].

Well I am no expert either. But it will be an interesting learning curve for sure. [:)]

Meanwhile, I got an email confirmation from AH General my DVD will ship tomorrow. Yay!

While waiting for the package to travel half the world, I found these Avalon Hill Arab-Israeli counters from the web.

If I have the time on Sunday, I just must try to recreate Picnic at Tel Al Ful using them:

Tomorrow is off the grid though. Stay tuned!

Good hunting! [&o]

PS Pz Korp, can you email it to me as well, out of curiosity

Did you have the S&T #55 ? I'd like to make this one for TOAW, but need to get a copy of it from Amazon or somewhere before I can look into it.

Hey Abt653, I got it in a PDF. [:D]

PM me and I'll send you a copy.

Yessir, no problem!! The icons2d currently can be a bit confusing, it has been changed now so that it is used exclusively for NATO/Military symbols only, as Germany and Russia have their own 2d icon sheets. This in turn frees up many slots for military symbols, since it isn't sharing all those slots with 2d pictures as well!! Unfortunatly, this feature is not available for public use just yet, please be patient!!

What you could do, in your mod, is replace symbols already, I will explain in private when you are ready, which field to edit in the platoon files. Then, you would need to send the platoon file to Jason for encryption!

SITUATION NO. 21

Tel Al Ful: The Clash of Armor

A battlegroup of the Israeli 10th Mechanized brigade collides with elements of Jordanian 6th tank regiment.

Set-up:
ISRAEL Set up first. All forces must be set on Eastern road, within ten hexes of west side of the map board C.
JORDAN Set up second. All forces must enter using any of the available Western roads, from the east edge of board.

Special rules:
None.

Victory conditions:
Israel player holds all objective hexes on the board: DECISIVE Israel victory
Israel player holds at least one of the objective hexes on the board: TACTICAL Israel victory
Any other result: DECISIVE Jordan victory.

Most definitively this is just for giggles. But it is heartening to see that now there is a framework to recreate all those Panzerblitz / Panzer Leader / Arab-Israeli Wars scenarios into computer format.

So what I did I added some AIW counter art in place, replacing Jeeps for Armored Cars, Centurions for Pattons, and so forth. I placed some AIW counters to replace map markers, such as mines and blocks. Wrecks appear as well true to AIW counters, as you can see from some burning Israel oil here. I thought of putting some AIW terrain in place as well, but alas, this is what I have time for this at the moment.

Image

Not too bad, eh? And well worth the two hours I put for this quick mock-up.

For, and I don't seem to grow tired of quoting this:

By converting only the actual Panzerblitz - Panzer Leader - Arab-Israeli Wars situations there shouldn't be any of that for most part though. For supply, there'd be the HQs. Commanders need to be in as well.

Then that's pretty much it, methinks [:)]

Looks awesome...just use the PZblitz and Panzer leader counter art..we dont need the numbers on them..thats what the game engine is for..so if u take the numbers out than u can make the unit counter image larger..hence sharper

I am really looking forward to receiving the Panzerblitz / Panzer Leader / Arab-Israeli Wars DVD from AH General. It would be fun to put a few of the Arab-Israeli situations into Middle East gameplay.

I should get this too. I have the originals, but it would be nice to have the original stuff on disc. I fear I could not do the unit icons in TOAW due to the 20x19 pixels available [:(]

Here is what I ended up with for Breitenfeld. As usual, they look a little better in the game.

Sweet! [&o] Do count me in for your test team. I suck at TOAW so I will play the Saxons [:'(]

Re counter size: this is why I am sooo excited about the new 2D Zoom-In and 2D Normal views now available to CS. It is like having the Xmas everyday I boot the game up. [:)]

Yay! Plenty of content indeed. This must be one of the better values I've got out of USD 7.00 [:)]

The improvement in 2D is the key for me... i never like play in 3D, is confusing for me, you need enter in 2D to have a more clear view of battlefield but 2D now is a problem because is very small... compared with last JT titles is like compare PzC and PzB... even PzC with the extra zoom add is inferior to the actual full 2D zoom in PzB.

Well, in 2 weeks aprils is here... and winter is coming [:D]

Will the new 2D views be made available to the older JTCS (East Front, West Front, & RS) games or will they only be implemented in the new games moving forward?
