To be clear, the above screenshot is just for giggles. For a number of good reasons, we have no plans to implement on-counter unit stats. Not at this time, not for ME's initial release. Maybe in some future update, or in future games. Maybe.

Oh, I am assuming it was evident I was refering to a PB/PL Unit Counter Mod, as I played around with those counters on my Dev Diary #6 as well.

To be able to have PB/PL counters available in CS is something I've wanted to see for a long time.

So what I did there I put a few more Panzer Leader counters in to my "WW II plug-in", to see how they would look like. Of course, they look pure class. [:)]

Just for giggles? [:-]

A PB / PL mod is a Very. Serious. Thing.

All kidding aside, those counters really do look sharp! Brings back fond memories of the good ol' AH/SPI days.

(Did you know? I was a playtester for SPI back in the day, and visited their corporate offices in NYC once.)

Hi Crossroads, and Berto.

Popped in to say I love those PB/PL counters. [I've got to look into to using the silhouettes for a TOAW counter mod].

Hi Crossroads, and Berto.

Popped in to say I love those PB/PL counters. [I've got to look into to using the silhouettes for a TOAW counter mod].

Thanks! I gave it another quick spin. Previously, I had the PL counters on our Standard sized 44x44 counters, designed to go with NATO map symbols. This time, Axis PL counters are a tad larger, and on 48x48 sized Alternative counters. A few pixels, quite a difference. Allied continue to be on 44x44 counters here.

Anyway, that's about the time I have for this at the moment. Making some mental notes here though...

I bet they do look better in person. After playing PB until the counters wore out, I remember getting PL and seeing those beautiful large glossy counters for the first time. [:D]

Do you know where can I get a decent .png or .jpg of the counter sheets ?

Neat. AH and SPI were my two big desk occupiers back in the boardgame days. I live 20 minutes from were AH used to be located, but I never visited. I used to write them letters. Letters, with pen and paper, lol.

(Breitenfeld 1631)

Did you have the S&T #55 ? I'd like to make this one for TOAW, but need to get a copy of it from Amazon or somewhere before I can look into it.

Sorry, no idea what "S&T #55" is? So I guess I don't have it [:'(]

The Thirty Years War and Great Northern War I wage under Total War series, former as a Kingdoms Mod, latter as a modded Empire! install.

Strategy & Tactics Magazine #55 [1976] had a Breitenfeld game included.

Cool, a Breitenfeld scenario! [&o]

Now, which NATO map symbol to represent a tercio?

Good hunting! [&o]

PS Pz Korp, can you email it to me as well, out of curiosity

The original used a simple Cav or Inf symbol :

That reminds me, some AH stuff can be found at http://www.ahgeneral.org/index.html

I used it when I did a 1775 knockoff for TOAW. A CD with everything from the game cost like $5. [:D]

Thank You!
This reference disc took a lot longer than we hoped, but its finally finished, and 3.1gig of data is on it. Its incredible! All the Avalon Hill material for Panzer Blitz, Panzer Leader, and Arab Israeli Wars all on one DVD!

USD 7.00, and another USD 7.00 to ship into Our homeland [that] lies in the snows of the North *);

There just may be an Alternate Arab-Israeli UI to match the PB / PL UI mods after all:
ORIGINAL: pzgndr
Are you planning to offer a TAHGC Arab-Israeli Wars interface & scenario mod pack, similar to Panzer Blitz and Panzer Leader? That would be retro cool.

*) Yep, lyrics from the Finska Rytteriets Marsch i trettioåriga kriget. No pressure then, on the Breitenfeld 1631 scenario [;)]
