The photos of the ETO really make you appreciate the difference in unit density between a full 1939 game that's reached 1944 and the 1944 scenario.

Mar/April 44 Axis impulse 2 ( impulse 3 ) Rain arctic, rest fine

Germany and Italy land, Japan combined.

Japan fails to find US fleet in Solomons.

German grounds strikes in France mostly fail, 1 bomber lost, 2 aborted and only 1 thru with minimal damage.

The large German HQ's are in Russia where there even so are not enough troops to use an Offensive Chit effectively at this time. In France with only a 2 and a 3 factor HQ present it also is not effective now.

Russia reenters Penza and again closes with the German. Neither side has enough force to attack on a long front.

CW units enter Trieste beginning to threaten the Balkans,

Mar/April 44 Axis impulse 3 ( impulse 5 ) Rain Arctic and Temperate

Japan naval missed the US fleet in the Solomons

Germany and Italy land

Germany desperately needs a shorter front in Russia, rain makesitsafer but it is still too long and vulnerable.

France also has a dire need for more troops to hold the line at the Seine.
