Unfortunately I am leaving for a "vacation" in less than a week so I will not start a new game...however, I will be returning in mid-March so I will be available after the 20th...I figure by that time you will already be involved a game...good luck...

I am ready to start a new game, but I would like to use the latest build from Ernie. I suspect he has something good in the works!

Chuck

PS : I have not done USA/China in awhile and would like that as 1st choice.

Of course I'm in but before I declare my preference, I would like to hear what jld89's preference is, before I state mine as the thread starter he should at least have first dibs.

I'd like to give it a try, no preference on nation.

I think the new factory rules might penalize the US too much ? We'll have to see.

Count me in.

History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

Unless the US can raise city production by a good amount the factory rule will cut the US out of historical production. I usually build 4 to 6 factories a year for the first couple years as the US.

I am trying to find out how to play my current pbem game (GD1938 game 18) using vs 2.20, and trying the latest mod (2.21)? If I could I would be more than willing to take part in a 2nd PBEM game. I now know I can do 1 turn/day. Any help would be much appreciated. Is there room for another player (any side)?

I did a single turn and believe that it won't effect the US that much it will make for less production sites but the cost seems low enough to offset the production amounts. Looks good Ernie.

So far we have

jld89 preference ?
cpdeyoung preference USA/China TBC
Jeffery H. preference ?
Falco preference ?
Twotribes preference British/French or Soviets TBC
baloo7777 preference ?
Ironduke preference ?

Seven players

That's

Germany Falco
Italy Ironduke
Japan Jeffrey H.
Soviet Union twotribes
France jld89
United Kingdom baloo7777
USA Cpdeyoung
China cpdeyoung

jld89 may want to play France and China that at least keeps him in the game if the worst should happen.

Its going to be almost a full house turns should be short with the exception of Germany/Italy who will have more work to do.

Sorry baloo7777 Soviet Union was already requested, if everyone would care to cast a eye over the above and signify disapproval then alterations can be made. Claus has kindly supplied version V221 which is version we will be playing.

Ok if France is going to be a single player nation put me down for Soviets or France. I think using the new stuff France may have shot at least of not being completely out of it when Germany takes over mainland.

As I said, I'm just quite happy to participate. If I HAVE to choose then Germany (without Italy preferably).

Actually Italy by itself would also be ok if someone else wants to be Germany.

I will be glad to take any side! If I could choose, I would not want to be Japan, as I am playing them in a different game. Maybe the Soviets?

Using the new build so everyone knows, when a Country upgrades a town from colonial to normal it also doubles the current production level of said Town. Colonials are 250 500 750 1500? or 2000. The card to place an industrial area in a city adds 1000 production. The colonial one costs twice as much to do as the Industrial area but it allows your city to now produce aircraft armor and ships. Something Colonials can not normally do.

Raising your industry across the board is also not to bad it dependent on your current production I believe but at start even for the most expensive it is only starting at like 40 or 40 something. It raises your production by 5 percent.

Manpower may be a problem eventually as the rates are not real high but all countries start out with a large pool.

Forgot to mention you can only do one city function a turn. Either increase production or change a colonial to normal.
