[RESOLVED] no sound

hi,

i have no sound since 1.07, i have sound with the splash screen when i press "play" but no sound ingame

i check audio options and it's ok

any ideas ?

Okay sorry if you know this but got to check.

Go to game, game options and make sure use game sounds is checked off. If it is not checked please check it off and press ok.

If this doesn't fix it try exiting command, deleting your command.ini file from your Command directory and then restarting. That file will get recreated the next time you load the game. You will have to reset all your custom setting again but this will clear it up if the problem was there.

If this still doesn't fix this issue please let us know!

i just trying yours tips but always no sound
do you need some file from my directory to check or something ?

If you turn the music on do you hear that?

no music in game, but i have sound on splash screen when i press "play"

Have you checked your directory structure?
- Sound and 2 sub-directories exist with files in them?
- Can you play one of the sound files in sound\effects by double clicking on it?

hi Mike,

i have the logo of "VLC player" on each sound file in the sound/effects/ directory
is it the matter ?

It should not matter what the file icon is. Just check to see if the Windows Media Player - if you click on Start button and look at the list that comes up, you may see it there.

Make sure that Windows Media Player is working and and installed.
You can check if it's installed at:
Control Panel > Programs and Features > Windows Features > Media Features > Windows Media Player

aaahhhhhhhhh thanks a lot it works, my "media features" was not checked !
i dont know how it was uncheck... maybe a bad manip of me or something
I can finally play with sound
