Did you install the hotfix and could that have caused it?

No, not yet, although I am about to. This was a file copy problem, and happened after ATG was ended.

The Soviets completed the annexation of the Baltic states and Eastern Poland, Also in the east Mukden was liberated by Soviet forces as efforts are made to prevent the collapse of China, and scoop up some prime real estate in the east into the bargain as a added bonus. Japan will not take kindly to this but as they are doing the same thing in China we are sure they will understand if not appreciate our actions.

Poland is gone as a nation but not as a people.

Great Britain and France are sure they will soon face the whole of the Wehrmacht.

Some enemy submarines have been killed and the RN is active in the Atlantic. The RAF supported the troops in Amsterdam with an airstrike, and French artillery fired on the very active German troops facing what is left of the Maginot. The fortress in the center has been reduced, but the hex is still held. Belgium has still not had her borders violated.

US continues to prepare to aid her erstwhile allies. The people of the US will have none of it still clinging to isolationism.

The Soviets continue to advance against the Imperialist Japanese, China will not be deprived its destiny of joining the pantheon of communist nations.

Well, what an interesting development.

Things are confused just now. The Americans are already in the war. Didn't that have to be a mistake? I suspect Hitler did not notice the USA had influenced Denmark till she had most favored nation status. I think it was a shock for him to see what his declaration of war had wrought. Has there ever been a game where every nation was at war in June 1938?

Great Britain and France hit at the Germans where they could. For France this meant artillery strikes, for Great Britain air strikes and anti-sub operations.

We welcome the United States to the fray!

Chinese High Command also welcomes the USA into the fray. We will also support the mighty USSR in any way we can in their crusade against the Japanese imperialists in the north.

Supreme HQ happy to report minimal casualties and one successful counter-attack against the Nippon hordes this time around.

Franco has joined the other Fascist tyrants. The Spanish declaration for the Axis will make big trouble for Britain and France. The Italians also picked this moment to attack, and there were multiple battles in Africa. The results are in flux at this time.

The RAF attacked the troop concentration near Amsterdam, aiding the defense there. The Luftwaffe chose not to rise to the ground troops defense.

Czechoslovakia was invaded, and the French helped the defense. These are dark times.

The German player, Rufus T. Firefly, is a master of U-Boats. They are everywhere, but very hard to find. They are causing serious losses to the Allies, and taking away valuable flexibility. The skills he demonstrates are a pleasure to observe, but it is no fun to be on the receiving end!

Chinese forces launch limited counter-attacks at the Nippon imperialists. One successful, one unsuccessful with a small amount of territory retaken, with other lines of defense holding fast. Chinese morale is high at the moment.

Great Britain and France are contending with Germany and Italy across Europe, Africa and in the Atlantic. The
battles are revealing where strategic emphasis is focused. In Europe the Germans have pulled panzers to attack the
Czechs. The Spanish and Italians are battling in the southern part of France.

Both Great Britain and France are doing battle in North Africa.

The Soviet Air force attacked the Japanese fleet several groups of Torpedo bombers were used causing substantial damage sinking at least two thirds of the Japanese fleet,
hopefully this will deter the Japanese from shelling Vladivostok. Several air and ground attacks were launched along the Front a preliminary to a Soviet offensive as soviet forces build.
There is no diplomatic agreement reached between Japan and China only this is a road to a resolution of this crisis. China is well within its rights to demand the full liberation of all Chinese cities.
And the Soviet Union will support this as a road to peace in the region.

This is a complex situation with unusual diplomatic alliances and a broad sweeping global focus.

The U-boat war goes badly for us with serious losses, and only two U-boats sunk this turn.

Here is the situation near Egypt.

Japanese forces launch one successful counterattack into Wuhan. However Chinese forces still partially surround the city. The Imperial Japanese HQ have abruptly withdrawn from truce talks even after a reasonable Chinese offer was laid on the table. With their armed forces now fighting on two fronts, the Japanese now appear determined to follow a path into oblivion. On the home front, Chinese communist forces launch one successful attack in the north with the rest of the lines holding fast and strength being gradually built up.

Soviet forces continue to build with no movement on the diplomatic front a Soviet offensive looks inevitable.

More preliminary attacks were launched against surprisingly feeble Japanese defenders, though a large group of Japanese Medium tanks were detected south of Mukden, the Supreme Soviet presume that this is a attempt to deceive the Soviet command of the weakness of the Japanese, fortunately we have other means of gauging Japanese actual strength.
