He's off to explore distant worlds and universes. God bless his family and loved ones.

Sad news indeed. [:(]

His passion for Distant Worlds shall be immortalized here with his AAR's. I can't think of a better tribute.

Good point as usual, Ed. You tend not to realize fully all that happens with us on this forum and with this game until you see a face and history associated with anyone of us that posts here.

Well played, Jeeves, thank you.

When I heard the news over the holidays, I sent this to Lonnie's brother Tom. He will be missed.

Hi Tom,

Elliot passed along your e-mail regarding your brother Lonnie. I've been away for the holidays, so I just got the news. My condolences to you and to your family on Lonnie's passing. He was a great fan of the game who always amazed us with his ability to analyze the ins and outs of even undocumented parts of the design through his diligent play and careful testing. It was a joy to have him on our testing team and to see his progress through the saved games he uploaded. I'm glad that our work provided him some joy as well.

Regards,

- Erik

A very nice gesture, Erik. Real life is ever present while our fantasy worlds can come and go. He will be missed.

Well played, Jeeves, thank you.

And we do tend to be a good natured forum here. What with the running jokes and all. Really hits home when you can put a real face and name to a avatar though, especially in a sad situation like this.

Jeeves was a good one, he'll be missed for sure.

Oh! Bloody hell! That is sad :(
I have spent hours reading his analysis of
Distant Worlds and sort of felt I knew him
personally though I didn't.
I believe he has gone to a better place! :)
