That's pretty cool! Don't forget "instant" as an operation name adjective (e.g. Instant Thunder).

Also, maybe another category could be aircraft/squadron callsigns? Although my technique is to actually make sure it fits with the right kind of aircraft. I look at these:

Revised versions of generators posted with "instant" included in the operation name generator, along with a bunch of other possibilities taken from the military call sign list, and a few other tweaks to some of the other generators, too.

Actually, I cheat a little here. I just use the Operation Name generator because you can pick and choose from the various words that come up. And sometimes one result makes flight names for other squadrons easy to figure out. So, for example, Operation Blue Falcon can be turned into Blue flight (and then just add Red flight, Black flight, etc.) or Falcon flight (and then you add Raptor flight, Eagle flight, etc.)

Just uploaded revised generators with some tweaks, corrections, etc. The biggest change is that the Conflicts generator now includes a LOT of small historical conflicts, riots, coups, etc. with the phrase "escalates into a larger conflict" added.

Inspiration PadPro lets you write random generators. It's free and it's a neat little program. So, for example, if you need a list of names for merchant ships, I wrote a generator that will do that for you. I wrote a couple of others that are for generating random possibilities for scenarios. The Conflicts one, for example, might give you an output (out of tens of thousands of possibilities) like this...

World War III (NATO vs. Soviet Union)--hunt submarines and/or surface forces in the East China Sea, 1978
Suez Crisis, 1956
Japan vs. China, 2016
Future Crisis--Honduras vs. Nicaragua, 2029
World War III (NATO vs. Soviet Union)--conduct a convoy mission in the Pacific, 1985

I tinker with the generators, try to track down any errors, etc. and post new versions every now and then.

Ahhh... ok. Downloaded - it's pretty cool! Maybe if the Command gods feel like hooking us up with a random mission generator they can pull some inspiration from this. [:D]
