[BY DESIGN, DIFFERENT LOADOUT] Two units resist grouping order G

Post by Rongor »

Game version:
v1.06 b624

Situation:
I played Spain in the "Canary's Cage" Scenario

Observation:
I have two aircraft, launched from my aircraft carrier. They were launched "indvidually", but at the same time. Now having them flying the same route, I rubber frame selected them and pressed G to merge them two a group. They refuse to do so.
For testing I disbanded other units from existing groups and merged them back. Worked as usual. But not these two aircraft.

For some reason it says they've already been merged. Check the usual stuff but no dice. Sending of to D etc. to take a look.

Thanks!

[BY DESIGN, DIFFERENT LOADOUT]
I am surprised. Manual tells no requirement here.
Groups: Groups are units that have been placed together in the
simulation into one cohesive unit. This is done by drag-selecting units
and pressing the G key.
So this doesn't work here because one aircraft has loaded two AMRAAMs and two Sidewinders and the other aircraft has 4 Sidewinders instead?

Any plan to change this design then? Or does this serve any purpose?

Yes. Different loadouts means a whole lot of added management complexity if you group them together.
