Origins Staff Wargame AAR via Grogheads

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Thanks. Sounds like a great experience for the team involved.

The map being used: is this a user made map or an official map that's coming with 2.04? Is it a fictitious map or have the villages names been 'anonimized'? (I cannot match it to real world terrain).

It is a remake of an original Flashpoint Germany map and scenario. They may be seen in the future. [;)]

Yep, the map has been improved, the outlines of the hexes are more clear. Happy to know it was a realistic and funny experience, just like FCRS. [;)]

That scenario was a blast, I hope it makes it into the game proper.

Nice read, bit gamey hitting their primary HQ that early but I cannot complain the number of times I try to do it [:'(]

where is Origins held (I know its in the US but rough location would be great), I attend a few gaming conventions and have nothing lined up this year plus the missus is pestering me for a US holiday
