I start up distant worlds (steam Version)i click Play distant worlds and it takes time but the mini screen to show its loading pops up for a split second and distant worlds does`ent load[:(]

Hello Kr207;

Just a thought...check to make sure your anti-virus software is not interfering with your
start up. It might have quarantined an important file. If so, make sure to add your
Distant Worlds Universe directory to the anti-virus' exception list. You may have to
then reinstall DW. Hope this helps, post back if not and one of our other members may
have suggestions.

oh my god.. it's the SAME THING every time..

install THESE before you play distant worlds!! :

1. XNA FRAMEWORK. (COMES WITH DISTANT WORLDS IN REDIST FOLDER..)

2. DIRECT X (ANY ALL VERSIONS.. COMES AGAIN WITH DISTANT WORLDS IN REDIST FOLDER!!!)

3. MAKE SURE YOU have Internet explorer installed and Windows media installed.. (not sure if these are required but just do it..)

4. Install your latest graphic drivers from Intel/Nvidia/Amd/ whatever you have..

5. make sure you have Frameworks installed (probably comes with Distant worlds too in redist folder!!!!!)

and I'm not sure if this is required also but install anyway

installed visual basic 2008,2010,2012 (32bit for all)


google the titles and only download from microsoft website download site ONLY..



if your game doesn't run after all of these are installed in my previous posts,

then you have a serious computer problem and some hardware that isn't like the billions of other users that use computers.. where distant worlds does work by the way
