Niehorster site down?

Post by GaryChildress »

I hope it's just a glitch on my end. Can anyone else reach the Niehorster.orbat.com site? I've tried the past couple days, first time in a long while and it doesn't seem to be coming up for me.

I usually access the site through this link: http://niehorster.orbat.com/000_admin/000oob.htm

Its either impenetrable or my boner pills are not working. Dammit how many times do I have to get taken til I get something that works? They promise me I'll become a god but it just never happens to me. I look into the mirror each morning and I see the same green reptilian face I've always seen. I need a plastic surgeon who can make me look like Justin Bieber. I know, it would take quite the artist to transform my face into something as hideous as that, but I continue to be hopeful.

Bump....

Can anyone else get to Niehorster's site? If the site is down I'm afraid it may be a major blow to wargaming as the site contained an enormous amount of OOB information. [:(]

I have a slightly different net address, but that one is not working either.

I agree that it would be unfortunate if the site is gone permanently. It was a great place to check out OOB info. I especially liked the 12/7/41 unit location info.

Hopefully, the site is only temporarily out of order.  However, you can view many discontinued and closed sites using the Internet Archive Wayback Machine at http://archive.org.

For example,
https://web.archive.org/web/20011006015056/http://www.warships1.com/index_ships.htm

shows the old Warships1 database of the world's warships, archived on October 6, 2001.

found out from a post on the Axis History forums that it appears Dr. Niehorster's site is most likely just experiencing temporary difficulties and the admin is on seasonal holiday. Hopefully when the admin returns the site will be back up. [X(]

Niehorster's contribution doesn't seem to be included at orbat.info.
