Receiving books in time for Xmas?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Thank you, I received it. DHL handed the shipment to my neighbour, as I haven't been at home.

Well I can see that the Germans got their books, but here in Denmark it will arrive between 27. and 31. December. I think I read about another Canadian who would get his book after New Year.

As an aside, I ordered a few other games and several cases were crushed, which also ruined the nice color inserts! I wonder who packs these things? I don't think FedEx throwing it around could crush 3 cases, but I guess it's possible. The book and outer box were fine, which makes me think they were packed like that. Submitted a help ticket for several cases and two color inserts. One of the cases was in pieces. I trust Matrix Customer Service will help and the feedback may be helpful to them.

Most likely a shipping issue - we can replace any damaged boxes, the Help Desk is the right place to contact.

Regards,

- Erik

I live in Brisbane, Australia, and my manual arrived today, December 31.

I wholeheartedly support the praise for the manual from the other members on this forum. It's a first-class effort and fully reflects the research, hard word and brainpower that went into this product.

I'm a very happy customer.

I'm also impressed with the delivery. My notification email said I would receive the manual by January 2, so I'm delighted it's arrived early ... especially to Australia.

Shipped on the 18th from germany, it has not yet arrived on the far away shores of distant Portugal...

I guess they are using pack-mules and are probably only now crossing the Pirenees...[:D]

Maybe some day...[8|]

I order mine Christmas morning - then left town for a week.

I was surprised to see that it was out for delivery on Dec 27th! ( well I shouldn't have been too surprised I think I live about 5 miles from warehouse ).

I'll be picking up at post office when I return!

Thanks
Rick

Probably the delay is with the CTT.

Worth the wait guys....easily the best manual I've ever received (and I'm a huge manual/strategy guide nerd). High quality paper and binding. You'll love it.

Just wanted to say thanks gang for not making the shipment the same fiasco I had with "World in Flames" which shipping alone was like 40% of the value of the game. In this case the slightly under the $10.00 CDN for shipping me the physical copy was well worth it. Will not even mind paying any duties if that is the luck of the draw I have in this case. Thanks for revisiting your shipping practices for WITW. Will look forward to receiving my hard copy and manual in the days to come.

All the best and thanks again for working on this for us Canucks!

I just received the book. It is awesome!! I find reading the book easier than reading the PDF file. Can you purchase the book separately? If so, what is the cost?
