July/August 1944. Allied #7. USSR. Main (Central) Front.
Now moving from the second front (Japan) where the allies are winning to a third (USSR), where they're losing. The Soviets do what they can to block the German breakthrough made last impulse.

July/August 1944. Axis #8. Nice, France. Land Combat.
This land combat was an all Italian affair except for the Luftwaffe ground support, which added 5 factors. The Italians roll well.

July/August 1944. Axis #8. Vichy France [64,28]. Land Combat.
The second land combat was an all German affair and targeted Clark's HQ and the US 82nd airborne division. The attack was too much for the Americans to handle.

July/August 1944. Axis #8. The Eastern Front. Army Group Center.
Because of strained supply lines, Army Group Center is unable to make any moderate to high odds attacks.

July/August 1944. Allied #9. (No Cap)
The CW takes a combined and the US, China and the USSR takes a land. Nothing of significance to report on from the allies side this impulse. The chance of the turn ending is 30%, but the end of turn roll is a 5. The turn continues.

July/August 1944. Axis #10.
All three axis take a land. The chance that the turn will end is 40%. The only action to report on are two land combats in the West and maneuver in the East (i.e., Eastern Front).
July/August 1944. Axis #10. The Western Front. Land Combats.
Bolster by their previous and overwhelming victory the Italians press forward and attack a 2-3 Mexican Militia unit in the mountains. The attack is a disaster for the Italians.
The second land combat (not shown), Wavell's HQ unit, which is disorganized and out of supply.

RE: My Historical Global War AAR
Am I the only one watching all these sweet maps that just wants to see what happens when the Turks launch their inevitable drive on Egypt?
RE: My Historical Global War AAR
Uhm ... I made a MAJOR rookie mistake is this game by not knowing how easily I could have activated Turkey after conquering the Caucuses. That is, I never (knew to) put four German corps on the boarder with Turkey. So Turkey stays neutral for the entire game. I now know better ... [:(]ORIGINAL: brian brian
