Fatigue of air elements

Post by schascha »

I believe remember from WITE the value of fatigue isn't the same than the ground elements but I can't find it out in the manual.

Is it the case or not and if yes what's the max value for the air elements ???

P.S sorry for my poor english

Air group average fatigue is calculated as average pilot fatigue. You can see pilot fatigue on the pilot tab.

Ok but I would like to know from which level the fatigue could be considered as critical.

Term "critical" is very subjective. It can reduce pilot skill up to 40%, which can reduce efficiency very much. Tricky thing is that fatigue is dynamic and you can't really follow it closely during air execution.

You have more than enough air groups, even as the axis, to manage your pilot fatigue by resting groups whose morale falls too low, or the group has a fatigue over 10, I rest them (Axis I do push a little harder). Fatigued crews with low morale will cause you very high operational losses. The Commander's Report will help you manage your groups and who needs what. Hope this helps, not sure I answered your question.

It doesn't seem like the FAT in the CR window ever gets too high, is this intentional?

I noticed this as well. In my current Italy 43-45 game (end of jan 1944) I've flown either auto or manual ADs every turn and suddenly thought I'd better check fatique on air groups. Highest is 11 and most are between 1 and 5.

the problem with the air element, I can't figure what means the number.

For the ground elements it's more easy it's a %.

But what means a 15 fatigue for a pilot ???

The scale and measurement unit is same as for ground elements.
