Saudi Arabia may be buying export LCS or DDG-51

Just a heads up on something quite interesting.

FMS of MK 41 Vertical Launch Systems May Indicate Purchase of LCS or DDG by Saudi Arabia

The recent (and very low profile) announcement by the U.S. Department of Defense of a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) of MK 41 Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) to Saudi Arabia could possibly be an indication of the procurement of Littoral Combat Ships or DDG-51 type (Burke class) Destroyers by the Royal Saudi Navy. Here is Navy Recognition's take on it.

I can't wait to find out what type of ship hides behind this MK41 FMS

All the best toys for Saudis... Shah's Iran history comes to mind [8D]
But I wouldn't rule out Aegis Ashore like system personally..

Can the LCS be outfitted with Mk. 41s? If it can, then it would be a valuable addition to the LCSes already in service with its native navy.

Aegis Ashore would make lot of sense for Saudis.
