Officers, faces, and a new scenario
Over the last few days Bombur, Lion of Judah, and myself have been working on a new scenario. What it is I am not prepared to reveal at the moment. But, I am prepared to reveal a few of the faces of the officers involved. Here they are.
What do you think? This is my first attempt at using a 3D face generator...

I think it is time to show an actual screenshot of the map. Anyone able to guess where this is?

Another piece of the beautiful map that Lion of Judah has made... Perhaps a bit more recognizable?

RE: Officers, faces, and a new scenario
No screenshot today, but some info:
The map is about 120 x 100 hexes, and has 5 regimes on it. Each is meant to be played either by a human player or an AI. Thats right! You read correctly! This scenario, will be AI compatible!

"...there are are no correct alternate histories; there ae only plausible alternate histories."
And this scenario is definately one of those. The last few weeks I have been trawling the web, and buying stuff, all to present the most plausible alternative history for this scenario... and while the story isn´t yet written. The players have been chosen.
Let me introduce you to the 5 regimes/nations that are going to be playable in my new scenario:

No, sorry no Canadians, err.. Canuks.... errr....
However, I think you should know how the American nations each look. So without further ado, here is a map I just made, where the nations are outlined, approximately.

RE: Officers, faces, and a new scenario
Looking very good!
I would go for color portraits though and a small emboss or contrast effect to make the faces more in line with the uniform style.
best,
vic

Yeah, I know I am mixing styles. But it was either that uniform, or some very serious photoshopping, and hours more work, to get some realistic looking uniforms.
I´ll ask my other two co-designers what they think, and if we should change them. But don´t hold your breath

A new screenshot.
I thought I´d show you a picture of how the map looks up close near Washington DC and Richmond. Note all the different colored dots, and the stars. The yellow stars (might not be a finished graphic) represent Capitols. The different colored dots different city sizes.
Grey: towns (without production)
Green: small cities
Yellow: Cities
Blue: Large Cities
Red: Special Locations, such as Capitols, and Metropolises

There was a boardgame with a similar theme, back in the 1970's. I think it was an Avalon Hill game. Trying to recall the name of it.....
History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

Fortress America was the US against several invaders. It was a game along the lines of Axis and Allies.
