[WAD] 1.06 Mission Problem

Post by VegasOZ »

After placing 4 reference points and then selecting them I was NOT able to create a CAP mission as the 'select reference points' command does not work.

I can select the aircraft to take part in the mission but the reference points "box" is not responding when I try to add the selected reference points to create the mission "box".

NEVERMIND. I found my error...

Yes, I am the VegasOZ that used to host Rainbow Six games in the old MS "ZONE". With Vegas Master, Vegas Edge, Pappy, Vegas MadMikey and so forth. I was the leader of the Vegas Gang, which later became Left For Dead.

Nice!!! I played in those games a little bit. Probably don't remember me cause it didn't happen too often because of time zone difference being in Europe but those were cool games :) And tough to be on the gold team haha

I ended up in The Usual Suspects (as TUS_Tomcat) with Praetor, Jet, Senlocke etc. Played with LFD guys pretty regularly and also guys like Force Platoon (I ended up in the military, maybe they inspired me haha).

Good times! I loved that game :)

I hope you enjoy this one too, if you have any more questions fire away and I'll do my best to help.

Ah, YES, The Usual Suspects. A Great Clan as I recall. We had a great deal of fun fighting against the Force and TUS. Many times TUS guys would join us against the Force as I recall. You might remember that the Vegas Gang was always the hardest game to get into in those days as I had one of the few Cable connections (no lag, remember?).

Nice to hear about and from you. I LOVE Command: MANO. I'm an OLD Harpoon man and this is the heir to that legacy.

I still play shooters, BTW, I'm a Sniper in Battlefield 4 (rank 94) and still as deadly as always even at my "advanced years"... LOL

I do remember that, tough to get in that room. People with good cable or DSL were valuable, as were college T3 connections haha. I think I recall LFD_Swordsman and Force_Enigma hosting on those. I still managed to lag just about anywhere though being on crappy cable on the European side of the Atlantic Ocean, hence the statistics on the card that Sen made for me (he made a whole bunch of them for people one time):

I remember you being a good sniper too. And I also remember LFD MrPaint making those modded sniper only maps outside the 747 and stuff like that. I was never really good at that, more of a 6 frags, mp5k pdw rush kind of guy.

Don't really play any first person shooters these days, although I did terrorize my colleagues two years ago during one particular deployment when everybody was playing CoD 4 modern warfare on a LAN. I had guys walk in on me to see if I wasn't cheating haha. Told em I was well trained :) I certainly believe you still kicking ass as a sniper haha, some things you can't unlearn :)

Glad that you love CMANO! It's come a long way since release and just keeps getting better. I had harpoon 3 but couldn't really get into it due to issues with air refueling and some other stuff that bothered me, but command has me coming back time and again, although I find myself more often testing things and building scenarios than actually playing haha.

If you like air war scenarios you should check out some of mine via the link in my signature :)

I'm interpreting that as a compliment haha :)

Let me know how it goes. Red flag probably isnt the best one to start out with, DCA-MiniEX or Frisian Flag are probably better [:)]

Yes, a compliment. Awesome detail in the scenarios. I'm not sure I'm qualified to even play them... LOL

As you seem to be a specialist in Air actions, have you considered a scenario for an IDF attack on the Iran Nuke facilities? To halt the Iranian development of a Bomb.

Great work on your part.

That is an interesting idea. The only thing is that I am not really that knowledgeable on both Israeli and Iranian operations and locations, so there might be a lot of guesswork on my part, which I dont always like haha

Just read the other day about a board game for it though if you're into that haha:
