NO DB Images

Sorry, I'm sure this is a silly beginner question (I'm just coming back to this game after a long while...). I have installed to 1.06 and now I have no images of platforms in my database viewer in the game. There's a simple solution, right? Cheers.

Do you have images in the subfolders \DB\DB3000\images and \DB\CWDB\images?

Eh? I don't know. Do those folders not come with the images?

Just looked. Both those folders only exist in DB/Descriptions. CWDB is completely empty. DB3000 has only descriptions. Do they not install with the images in them?

Hello,

Please first check if the images are properly placed on your DB folders. They should appear on your \DB\DB3000\images and \DB\CWDB\images folder.

If they are not present, you can download the current version of the image & descriptions add-on from here: https://meocloud.pt/link/c8179cbd-cbeb- ... ddons.zip/

...and extract them to the above folders.

After this, once you run Command, the images should appear on the DB viewer.

Thanks Sunburn. I'm downloading them now. But my folder structure is worrying me. It goes like this: In DB there are no folders called DB3000 or CWDB. Those folders do exist, but under DB/Descriptions/or DB/IMages. Is this correct? But those folders are empty. Is this correct - ie, what I've done is downloaded the Game of the Year Edition plus the 1.06 update and neither of these include the images, it seems. I'm not complaining, just wondering if the images were meant to be there? Cheers.

phoenix - your file structure is the same as mine. Once you download the image file it will have the pictures separated into DB3000 and CWDB directories. You just put the pics for DB3000 in DB/Images/DB3000 and the CWDB in DB/Images/CWDB

The images are not provided together with the game due to copyright issues; this is why we make them available as a separate free download.

The zip file doesn't distinguish between descriptions and images or DB3000 and CWDB. How do we place the diles in the right folder?

both DBs are included in the zip. Put everything within the DB_addons folder of that zip into the DB folder of your installation.

"Database Images & Descriptions Add-ons
How to use: Unzip to the [Command]\DB\ folder."

I have found that this did not work,
However once I read the posts here and moved them to the respective folders in the DB\Image folder
The Database Viewer now shows the pictures.

ie:
*\Steam\steamapps\common\Command Modern Air Naval Operations\DB\Images\CWDB
And also the
*\Steam\steamapps\common\Command Modern Air Naval Operations\DB\Images\DB3000

I extracted the CWDB & DB3000 folders from the Zipped archive,
and copied the content into each of the respective folders within the DB\Image folder.

The description on the download page is confusing/incorrect and should be updated.

Just FYI, the very latest DB & Description file (from the thread stickied high in the forum) includes images but no descriptions.
