Can you try disabling sound effects and having another go at it? We have a strong tip (and a corresponding fix in v1.07) that sound effects are responsible for many of the OOM exceptions recently observed.

Played through with sound effects disabled. No issues. Mind you there was the update to 1.06 in the interim as well.
