The Matrix Holiday sales are starting today!

Post by Surtur »

“I like to think of sales as the ability to gracefully persuade, not manipulate, a person or persons into a win-win situation.” (Bo Bennet)

Trees are shedding their leaves, coldness is back and daylight is decreasing a bit more every day. There is no doubt, winter is coming! But a light shines in the dark with the launch of the Holiday Sale on both the Slitherine and Matrix Games sites!

So it’s time for players to put another log in their fireplace and grab outstanding games at a discounted price! Winter is a long season and provides lots of gaming sessions so it’s not the moment to be short of good games! Therefore, wargamers and strategy enthusiasts alike will be ecstatic to know that we offer discounts on most of our catalog from today till January 11th!

The list of deals is so long that it’s impossible to display it here, but among all of the marvelous opportunities that can be seized are games like Command: Modern Naval Operations, Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm, Pandora: First Contact, Ageod’s Civil War 2, Panzer Corps series, and the Shenandoah iPad titles are all available at a bargain price!

The complete list of the Holiday Sale program can be found here. So what are you waiting for?

Sorry some typos on the list are being fixed. We've been a bit overloaded recently and didn't check this as thoroughly as we would have liked.

I'm not sure what surprises me the most, the sheer size of the catalogue, or how many titles on the list I already own and thus don't have a need for.

There's really only one title I had an interest in, on the list that I don't already own.

But I have my eye set on some hardware purchases this Friday, so I'm pretty well already spoken for fer cash purposes.

And chances are if I had a husband, he'd likely be telling me I'd could forget it :)

Which probably wouldn't be so bad.

Play with Legos 10% of the time.

Shopping 60% of the time.
Exlains why I buy em more than I play em.

I'm disappointing that Command Ops and none of its expansions are on sale. I'm assuming it has something to do with them announcing a new publisher for the next game.

Conquest Of The Aegean & Highway to the Reich are on sale. Just not labeled Command Ops.

They are listed as standard price, $29.99. Also, it's Battles for Greece, not Conquest of the Aegean. That's the older title.

It looks like they are discounting games that they have discontinued. I'm not sure what to think about that.

We are fixing the list.
Those two games will be removed from the list as all other discontinued games.
We apologize for all this confusion.

Hannibal: Terror of Rome is still showing up as a zero dollar discount, which isn't surprising given it's pretty recent. Shouldn't it either be discounted or removed from the list?

Very sad to see that Distant Worlds Universe is not on sale. It would have been great to expand the audience given the forums are quiet. There are no shortage of people that have made it clear they simply will not purchase at the current price but would with a discount.

I think I will be joining you (download version)... Command has been on my want list for a long time. It still seems a little daunting though; I'm not good at anything real-time.

(I originally thought WitW but no launch sale.)

A one week 17% sale isn't quite what I had in mind. I've owned the game for some time.
