RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available!
From the support tab for WitPTracker web site:
This will show up as an error message:
Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform
This error message is usually because you haven’t installed the Microsoft C++ libraries. But if you have then it can also be because you’ve not got Java 32 installed and configured properly.
Solutions:
Step 1. Check C++ Libraries.
Check you have the C++ Libraries installed, if not, install the 32 bit version (even if you have a 64 bit OS.)
Check here for installation.
Step 2. Check you have 32 bit Java
Check you have 32 bit Java installed. If you are working on a 64 bit OS, then you can have both installed.
Change your witptracker.bat file to point to the 32 bit Java executable (you need the quotes because of the space) - this varies on different machines so you'll need to check the path:
32bitOS users
C:\"Program Files"\Java\jre6\bin\java -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"
pause
64bitOS users
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"
pause
You must run WitPTracker from the batch file. There is an executable file that might solve your problem if you've done the step above at the bottom of this page.
*I do believe that you need to have the 32-bit Java 6.

RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available!
That's what it was, I had the 64-bit version of Java 6 installed. I uninstalled and installed the 32-bit version, now it is working.
Nice reminder about using the quotes for the file path, I just did it the hard way and installed Java in c:\java6 to avoid the space issue! LOL

Just when I get the hang of a game, I buy two more...
RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available!
Gotta admit that every time I touch something in Tracker I get lost...
Ok, so I tried to delete the data base... why in the world I did that!?
Now everything stopped working... didn't the data base automatically re-generate when deleted?
Anyway, I also tried to uninstall and re-install...and obviously nothing works [:o]
I have this message always appearing... I also tried to re-copy the old DB (I made a copy of it) but doesn't work
Any tip?
Thanks

Greyjoy -
If you copied all four of the trackerdb files, you should be okay, but any less than that, it probably won't work.
I think you may have to delete all of the trackerdb files (or move them out of the WitPTracker folder) and try to re-initialize the database.

Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available!
Hi guys
I've just got back turn 1 from my opponent, ran the combat replay and saved the game.
I've got tracker working fine in my other game, so I've changed the DIR to point to the correct one and I've moved the pwll file from the Beta 2 but I'm having no success in getting it to work.
If I do it with the no map option, it tells me that it can't read the save
ERROR: Save game file "C:\Matrix Games\Uptodateinstallation\AE Edition Uptodate\Beta2\SAVE\wpae012" could not be opened
If I do it with the normal option, it runs but reads nothing at all, and brings up four db files and thats it.
I'm sure its something really simple, but any help pointed me in the right direction would be appreciated!

RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available!
I don't think you should have beta2 in the path to the save game.
RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available!
Spot on
Told you it was something simple, can get on with the turn now!

Have you actually played a turn yet?

RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available!
Yeah I thought of that, especially with the array out of bounds error. I did play one turn, but just one, before I tried to get it working.
To be clear, I loaded the campaign scenario, and watched the initial carnage. Went through the tedious hours of first turn orders, ended orders phase, let the turn execute and saw the IJN bomb Pearl for the second day in a row. So it's now the Dec 9 orders phase. Saved, copied that save file to the tracker Dir, and attempted to run it.

Always fun to be harassed/hinted at for a turn [:)]
Encircled is very good at getting turns back in a timely fashion, much
better than I am. I am fortunate to have him as an opponent, his
understanding when my turns get delayed by real life, is fantastic and
helps me not to get frustrated playing a game that takes years to complete.

Is there a way to run the tracker on a win8 64 bit platform ? And if the answer is yes can someone tell me in very simple even for dummies steps how to make it work ? Please....
I got this to run on Windows 8.1. I ran into a couple problems, but figured it out by following the instructions at the tracker page and the bits of information scattered in the thread. The first issue was getting the correct Java copies installed. I have a 64 bit system, but for some reason I had to install Java 6 for both 32 and 64 bit systems. The instructions are here.
The next problem was directing Tracker to the right location. How to fix this was posted earlier in the thread:
Original: ehansen
Change your witptracker.bat file to point to the 32 bit Java executable (you need the quotes because of the space) - this varies on different machines so you'll need to check the path:
32bitOS users
C:\"Program Files"\Java\jre6\bin\java -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"
pause
64bitOS users
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"
pause
You must run WitPTracker from the batch file. There is an executable file that might solve your problem if you've done the step above at the bottom of this page
The next problem was getting the right pwsdll file into the Tracker folder. This was also mentioned earlier in the thread:
Original: floydg
Make sure you copy the pwsdll.dll file from the Beta2/ folder to the WitPtracker folder, delete the trackerdb files and try again.
Finally, you need to set up tracker to open the correct save game file. Instructions on how to do so can be found in the first link. Note that you will get a signal ops report error if you haven't run a turn yet, even if you have saved a turn.
All of this I gathered from others, so thanks to those who helped me. In turn I hope having all this information in one post might help others trying to figure it out
RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available!
it worked ! thanx brother captain
RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0
