What is "mining income?

compared to Smuggling income??

It seems I make my money in pirate games by selling info and "mining" only...


I never even "raid" unless the computer does it naturally.. but what is Raid and Other?

I guess you get Mining income when your Freighters sell Resources normally to Empires and Independents but I am not sure if thats true.
