I almost forgot how much fun this game is

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

After a long break I played again and had quite some fun, although I got beaten by the AI. I tried 3 herd twice as NATO and I am amazed how totally different both games played out. Note to self:P you cannot blow those bridges fast enough. It is not easy for the Americans since they do not have ANY air defense.

The AI is quite capable and the dynamics of the game hook you to your screen until you realize that your bed time has passed 4 hours ago.

Great game, I have to get back into playing this by email.
