Can't open PBEM opponent's turn

Post by PhilThomas »

When I click on the name of the file it turns green, but the icon to open it(looks like a save icon) never appears. This has happened with two different opponents, both after they mistakenly sent the file for their own turn rather than mine. In both cases, my opponent had to replay his turn. The first time that happened I could open the file just fine, but it just happened again and I still can't open the file. Any ideas?

The game has worked just fine up to this point, so I can't see it being a version problem. But it both cases it happened with German turn 35.

I had the same problem:

My problem was that if I opened the file then saved it, it wouldn't work, it appears on the PBEM window, but clicking on it, doesn't bring up the disc in the bottom left hand corner, or the full game info.

BUT if I saved the file to folder, didn't open is, just moved it to the Dat, Save folder, it worked.

Other way around for me. I moved the file to DAT like I always do, but no disc icon shows up for me to open it.

1941 Campaign, happened with Axis turn 35 both times.

This is probably my issue. I just purchased don to Danube and downloaded beta 1.08 files. Now I cannot access update site. It says abnormal program termination and I have been trying to start a server game, three times, as the Germans in campaign game, with alt conditions. The game loads but can play it as it says it is not my turn. I can play solo game fine and take my PBEM turn but my opponent cannot open the file.

That probably means we should write this one off. When my other games finish up I'll download 1.08 and we can try again.

The updater may not work, but all downloads are available through browser on Matrix site (Member Area).
Alt Conditions may be from one of the expansions. Which one exactly is it?
Best if both of you would install the same addons. And best install from base game, then expansions, then 1.08.
