When FBD detrains nearby, the Partisan disappears and FBD does not take loss.

Hmmm... new use for FBDs, but after rail net is built. Thanks for observation & tip. Apparently diggers know the source of their travail. Wonder how many were impressed POWs.

Have you tried this with a HQ? Maybe the FBD creates soem kind of ZoC to trigger the partisan retreat.
BTW is this shown as battle with losses for the partisans?

As I understand no combat occured. Looks like FBD is really treated as unit exerting ZOC in case of partisans.

Speaking of partisans and rail disembark, was something in this regard changed? After the patch when I disembark the combat unit a regular partisan combart occurs, which wasn't the case before. This is a bit annoying since partisans seem to be far too strong. I've seen cases of losing 500-600 men to a partisan battalion.

I assume a bug was fixed that lead to easy elimination of partisans. BTW it's like caugth with the pants down if a disembarking unit engages partisans.
I'd actually like to have rail transport next to a known partisan unit blocked.

I have no problem with this easy partisan elimination option gone. But I do have a problem when my units lose hundreds of men chasing away some partisans. I have seen results like 800 losses for the Axis unit, with the partisans losing 70. That's just ridiculous.

Maybe the new smaller partisan units won't kill as many Axis soldiers? Previously their damaged elements stayed in the unit forever.
